The week of your workshop, expect an email with all the class details from us, including parking, reminders of start and end times, and everything else you need to know to have you set up for success. We can't wait to meet you!

Day Of

It’s workshop day!
Join us for 3 hours of in-person instruction with high-quality tools. You'll leave feeling comfortable with the tools & ready to keep practicing your new craft. You also get access to our 2.5 hour video tutorial for continued learning at home.

2.5-3 hours of instruction by Laura Hooper & Alyssa Law

With over 20 years of experience in pointed pen, and 6 years of teaching the art, there’s no better resource for your introduction to calligraphy

Oblique Pen Holder

Achieves the angle needed to get the thick & thin lines characteristic of pointed pen calligraphy.

2 Nibs

Includes 2 nib options that are great for beginners, and covers details on nib prep and care.

Black Ink

Works well with the paper in the kit and all of our practice pads. Laura uses this for all envelope orders in black ink.

Instructional Book

Includes getting started with the tools, basic up and down strokes, practice drill patterns and a full beginner alphabet upper and lower case.

Alphabet Tracing Pad

Calligraphy quality paper with traceables for the practice drill patterns covered in class, all 26 letters (upper and lower case) plus numbers

2.5 Hour Video Lesson

Indefinite access to professional footage of Laura going through the full beginner alphabet, upper and lower case for continued practice.
